When applying blush, you want the color to look soft and natural, as if it comes from within. Read below for tips on how to put on make-up.

Tap or lightly blow on the applicator brush to remove any excess blush before applying to prevent a harsh and uneven application.

Apply your blush on the apple of the cheek and carefully blend towards your natural hairline.

If you have two shades, apply the darker one on the apple of the cheek first, then use the lighter shade to highlight. Blend well so there is no visible line between colors.

Highlight your temples, forehead and chin.

Some tips to make your cheeks appear healthy
To know “where to glow” bend over for 30 seconds, then slowly stand up. Where your cheeks are flushed is where you are meant to blush. Apply your blush there and it will be naturally rosy every time.
Cheek color should be used to enhance your complexion, not to change your natural skin tone. Use sparingly for daytime, then add more or a deeper shade for a more dramatic nighttime effect. For special occasions, dust a lightly frosted powder over your cheekbones for a subtle but alluring glow.
Make sure to blend your blush into your foundation well or it will tend to look unnatural and add the appearance of 5 years to your looks.

One of the biggest disadvantages of using industrial soaps is that these items are not specially created for people with special skin needs, and are not usually gentle. Herbal soaps, cleansing soaps, and moisturizing soaps contain mixtures of vitamins, herbs, and natural substances that are specially formulated to promote skin health, while most industrial soaps are made in bulk and are generally safe to use.

If you want to change your skin care routine by using herbal soap or other natural products, you should definitely talk to your dermatologist before making the change to make sure that your skin will not have a negative reaction to this change. You may also want to try bathing with your natural soap first before applying it to your face.

If you are sensitive to the product and need to find something different to cleanse your face with then you may have to explore more. If you are buying herbal soap from your local health food store, you can ask the attendant which natural ingredients would be best for your skin, in order to make sure that you are happy with the product.

You have to be careful in selecting the soap. If you take the wrong one you may even suffer from skin diseases. Since the choices vary extremely from person to person depending on your skin its sensitiveness and other requirements you are advised to consult your dermatologist repeatedly, before taking any important decision.

When choosing a foundation, learn and consider your skin type, the amount of coverage you require and the kind of finish you are after. And remember, foundation is one of those products you wear every day, so make the right investment at the initial stage.

The word foundation means, the basis, of your makeup routine. If it isn’t right, your whole look may be off. Foundations are either oil or water based. Some skin experts will tell you that if you have oily skin, you should use a water-based foundation, and if you have dry skin, use an oil-based one.

Applied properly, foundation can make any complexion seem healthy and flawless. The aim is to leave the skin looking as natural and unmade-up as possible. Before you start, think hard about your complexion, as you may not need to apply base over the entire face. It is important to choose a foundation similar in color to your own skin. This is really easy-it is a matter of trial and error, and will take at the most an hour of your time in a department store or makeup center. Try one color on the inside of your wrist (never on your face) and walk around for a few minutes. Now look at the shade again, and then try another one. It is well worth the time to find a foundation that will look good on you.

If you think you will be interested in contouring and or highlighting your features, you need to buy another foundation a shade lighter than the one that matches your skin, and one that is three shades darker than your basic color. Again, a good cosmetician or a salesperson in a cosmetics department can help you choose the colors you will need.

Blush gives your face a healthy glow with a rosy effect. Never apply blush closer to the nose area. Choose blusher colors that match your eye shadow and lip color or that have a slight reddish pinky color to them. Fair skin looks great in rose, olive in peach & dark skin in apricot or even red.

Matching your blush application to your face shape ensures a perfect blush application every time. Let’s get to know the blush application tips for different kinds of faces.

Round Face: Apply blush to the area above the apples of your cheeks and blend slightly forward to thin the round face. Avoid getting the blush too close to your nose; this highlights the roundness of your cheeks.

Oval Face: The perfect shaped face needs little help from blush. For a natural look, apply blush onto the apples of your cheeks for a flushed, healthy glow.

Square Face: Soften the angles of your cheeks by applying the brighter color blush on the apples of the cheeks, and then sweep the blush towards your temples. This causes the eye to look up, taking away from the sharp angles of a square face shape.

Long Face: To create the illusion of width on a long face, apply blush to the apples of the cheeks and extend the blush outward towards your ears. Next, sweep your blush across the middle of your forehead and along your chin line.

Use a Camaflage based cream to conceal your skin blemishes. Camouflage is yellow based and like our foundations will perfectly match your skin tone. Use it as a concealer or as a foundation.

It is possible to perfectly cover and conceal your customer’s red marks by using camouflage. Also it is helpful for women suffering from severe outbreaks of broken or thread veins on the nose and cheek.

To disguise a severe area of red blotches, firstly ensure you use a camouflage cream which has good coverage strength. Secondly, make sure the make-up reflects a natural look. You can achieve this by applying camouflage in thin layers. For a perfect coverage, apply more thin layers on top of each other rather than one thick layer. It is recommended to use a moist sponge for applying camouflage cream.

On remaining areas of face, apply with a damp sponge to blend and even out skin tone. The most common mistake women make when applying any kind of makeup is that they do not blend enough.

Do use a moisturized base to achieve the most natural look and to eliminate caking. And you can also use a shade lighter than one’s skin tone to cover an inverted scar.

Do use a light shade as a primer to tone down color when camouflaging very dark areas such as intense bruising, age spots and tattoos. After concealing, use a shade that suits skin tone to further hide the imperfections.

Do use a light patting motion, rather than rubbing in makeup.

Don’t assume that the color that is right for your face is right for your body. Skin on the body tends to be a shade or two darker than the face.

--> The skin, which is the outer layer, bears the burnt of air pollutants, which not only attacks the surface of the skin, but also gradually leads to accumulation of toxins. The effect of pollution does not cause an immediate reaction and that is why we tend to neglect it initially, and gradually the skin acquires a greyish look and starts losing the sheen. In areas where there are chemical industries, the pollutants can lead to problems like rashes and discoloration. It is, therefore, quite important to deal with air pollution as far as in is concerned.

The first step is the removal of pollutants from the skin surface. Daily cleansing is thus very important. For night time cleansing, use a cleansing product containing aloe and lemon. This helps to remove impurities without disturbing the moisture balance and also enables to soften the dead epithelial layer and facilitates the removal of wastes from the skin surface. Restoring the normal acid-alkaline balance is yet another feature that the procedure brings across.

If your skin is oily, it tends to attract more pollutants and grime from the atmosphere. They require deep pore cleansing. Merely washing with soap and water makes the skin more alkaline and predisposes it to bacterial activity. It is, therefore, recommended that you use a medicated soap and homemade scrub given below. Protect the skin by using herbal plant extract as it has biologically active ingredients that can be absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin and influence it at cellular level. Sandalwood has powerful healing properties and is one of the best-known natural antiseptic and germicidal. It is ideal for oily skin conditions. Make a paste with sandalwood and water by rubbing on a rough surface. You can store it in a small container in the fridge and use it at night on pimples, allergic rashes, scars and pigmented patches.

Cleansing scrub

Mix 1/4 cup fullers earth, 1,4cup dried orange peel and 2 tablespoons sandalwood powder/oatmeal powder. Store this in a container in the bathroom. Take one teaspoon mixed with water and work into the skin, rinse it off with warm water. Use every alternate day.

Cleansing mask

Mix 1/4 teaspoon fullers earth, some tomato pulp and yoghurt and a little cucumber juice. Apply it on face for 15-20 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water. You should apply this mask at least twice a week.

Applying make up is really an interesting and entertaining tool which your hands can operate and play around with to create your look the way you want but always Avoid A Makeup Meltdown. What is important is the method to follow while applying any make up.

Let’s get to know the steps to follow while applying concealer.

Step 1 – Apply small dots of concealer at a time.
Step 2 – Touch the concealer directly onto the blemish and blend well at the edges.
Step 3 – After the concealer has dried, more can be applied to build up the desired opacity.

Concealer Applying Tips
1. Don’t apply more than two coats of concealer at a time or it will look obvious that you’re trying to hide a pimple. Foundation should further hide the blemish.
2. Instead of applying the cream from the inside corner of the eye to the outside it should be dabbed on the skin and then gently blended with the finger tips moving from the outside corner to the inside corner. This procedure will not pull the skin.
3. To remove concealer from your face, use a face cleanser, instead of vigorously rubbing the skin with soap and water.

Foundation being one of the most widely existing types of makeup, yet it’s also one of the least tacit. Science has created formulas to choose how to treat your skin. From cover redness and shrink pores to give skin a firmer look and even erase signs of aging. Still, the endless options can be overwhelming, leading most of us to skip foundation altogether or pick one that’s not quite right for our complexion or skin type. As a result, we often end up with a mask-like finish, flaky or greasy skin, more evident lines, wrinkles or the dreaded start-and-stop line. But with these tips you can find which foundation suits you.

Read below to know the right foundation to make your skin look and behave better than ever!

To add radiance

If your skin has a smooth glow, use a lightweight illuminating foundation. These typically contain microscopic light reflectors, which impart subtle luminosity. Adding a drop or two of a liquid highlighter to your foundation will give shine and produce an overall glow.

To reduce signs of aging

Take advantage of foundations with age-defying ingredients. These liquids also help smooth away other skin problems that accompany lines, such as an uneven, rough texture. Soften the look of deeper lines with foundation primer. Primers function as a base and prevent foundation from creeping into cracks, thereby making facial lines less noticeable.

To minimize pores

Oil-free matte formulas are your best choice here because the subtle finish they impart reduces the appearance of pores. Keep your foundation fresh with powder touchups throughout the day. A lucid powder is perfect. These won’t pile color pigments on the edges of your pores.

To Play Down Oiliness

Oil-free and non pore-clogging make-ups are the right options for skin that’s prone to shine. If your skin is a little oily and a little dry, try foundations for combination skin; they contain strong micro spheres that hydrate areas that need moisture while delivering oil control to shiny spots.

To Moisturize Dry Skin

Hydrating foundations come in liquid or cream forms and offer a light feel, thanks to moisturizing elements which draws water from the air for complete day softness. Skip powders and matte finishes, which can make dry skin and looks parched. Likewise, avoid powder blush; cream formulas make skin look dewy and fresh.
