Eyebrow Plucking

Our eyes are one of the most attractive and beautiful part of our body. While the focus is on eyeliner and eye shadow to suit you, let’s not forget about eye brows. Plucking is the best way to get your eyebrows in shape. Some women prefer to wax them while others rely on professional at salon to curve their eye brows in the perfect and best form.

Beware while Plucking Eyebrows

Eyebrow hair is the slowest growing hair on the human body so even though they have not yet grown back they should do in time.

In the meantime there are a few things you could try to make them look more even. You could fill in the thinner/lighter eyebrow with an eyebrow pencil. Be sure to choose a color that most matches your hair, and then blend in to make it look as natural as possible.

Another option would be to pluck or wax the one that is thicker. If you decide to do this it would be advisable to have a beautician do it for you.

Eyebrows Plucking Result

If one eyebrow is growing back at a faster rate than the other, or you notice no re-growth at all after a couple of months, there is a possibility you may have damaged the hair follicles so they can’t produce new hairs.

Eyebrows Plucking Methods

Step By Step instruction on how to pluck eyebrows:

  • When you are plucking your eyebrows make sure there is enough light in the room.
  • To pluck eyebrows, first apply an astringent to anaesthetize the brow area.
  • If the hairs are extremely long, you can trim them with manicure scissors. Trimming them can make a big difference. Actually it is a good idea to trim before you pluck.
  • Brush your eyebrows well. It’s also a good idea to tautly hold the skin right above the brow as you begin to tweeze-that will slightly reduce the pain of plucking.
  • Starting on the inside of the brow, gradually tweeze the bottom of your brow until the outer corner is half the width of the inner corner of the brow. Take your time when tweezing and go one row at a time.
  • Pluck hairs in the route that they grow. Doing so will keep the hairs smooth and will hurt less. Pluck stray hairs underneath the eyebrow arch and anything else outside the natural brow line. Go slowly (one hair at a time) so you don’t over-tweeze.
